Sweet Boss Hog Spotted at Americade 2011

It seems like you used to see a lot more of these Boss Hogs pounding the streets in the Village of Lake George, NY in past Americade events that I have attended.

Granted, I was in a bit of a motorcycle purple haze while up in Americade, but I think this is the only one that I photographed while up there. She is a beauty.

The infamous Boss Hogs powered by Chevy v8 engines since 1990, the creation of Monte Warne, the founder and president of Boss Hoss Cycles.

This one is one sweet ride with a generous amount of chrome and a beautiful paint job that the picture does not even close to doing this Boss Hog justice. Americade. Some many bikes and so little time.

A lot of friends and contacts have been asking me if OCC (Orange County Choppers) was at Americade. I did not see OCC exhibiting the the Americade Expo center where all the big manufacturers like Harley Davidson, Triumph, BMW, Vitctory, KTM and others were on display, but did see a number of cool "Choppers" parked and riding through the Village of Lake George and a few looked to be of OCC caliber.

LIKE our Facebook page (link to Facebook page in upper right-hand corner of this window) to see hundreds more photos of cool bikes, many of them OCC-like! We would love to hear your comments and feedback!

Harley Davidson Demo Bikes at the Americade

For those who made it to Americade this year might have had the chance to have a demo ride on one of the Harely Demo bikes available for demo rides at this years Americade.

Even though I played hookie and jumped work a few hours early on Friday to get up to Lake George and participate in the 29th Annual Americade, I was too late for a demo ride of one of the beautiful Harley Davidson demo bikes available for a spin for the mere cost of signing a release (as far as I understood).

A friend sweet talked us into the Americade Expo area after we agreed to sign the waiver, but alas we were too late for demo rides for the other Americade motorcycle exhibitors with demo bikes available. Note to self ... vacation day dedicated to demo rides, just leave all forms of credit home as demo riders become buyers more than my wife will tolerate given the three bikes that I already own ;-)

Triumph, KTM, BMW and Victory all had equally impressive displays. I will be publshing images of all these and hundreds of others from Americade at the
2011 Americade Facebook page.

Sick Hayabusa Draws Steady Crowd at Americade

Did anyone else get memorized by this sick Hayabusa on display at Americade in the Village of Lake George on Main Street? I shot the walk-around video below on Friday, June 10th. Listen to the excitement over the 3 N20 tanks. Not only can this bike move, its a party on wheels with enough nitrous oxide to fuel a dentist office for a week!

Notice the awesome chrome work, custom paint job, killer mods on the rear end, 3 nitrous tanks and a steady stream of those hypnotized by the sheer power and beauty of this tricked out Busa.

Below is an additional photo. What a great setup. Thanks for bringing this beautiful machine to Americade.

2011 Americade - The Bike Walk along Beach St, Lake George, NY

One of my favorite parts of going to the Ameicade in Lake George each year is what I like to "the bike walk" which consists of walking the bike line-up on Beach Street in front of The Fort William Henry.

The following video was shot yesterday (during nicer weather) waling from the America Expo where the Harley Demo bikes and exhibition was located (tons of photo and video of that coming soon).

As you can see, it was a bit precarious walking while mesmerized by the beautiful bikes that adorned Beach Street just next to beautiful Lake George going from Fort William Henry towards the center of the Village of Lake George.

Enjoy the 2011 Americade Bike Walk as seen through the eyes of one self-professed Ameicade junkie and blogger.

Cool Drag bike on display at 2011 Americade

Check out this cool drag bike that was on display during the 2011 Americade going on in the village of Lake George this week.

This has got to be the coolest drag bike that I have seen up close and personal, at the Americade or otherwise. Maybe I don't get out enough.

What is amazing about this cool drag bike is the plate on the left rear frame. Street legal? For real! Awesome!! Got to love Americade and its fans.

Rigid frame is great for drag strip but not so much for the back on the country roads. How the heck can you see over the blower anyway. Thanks for putting this monster on display for all us Americade motorcycle junkies to get our fix.

2011 Americade Motorcycle Lighting Effects

I found the following cool Americade Motorcycle Lighting Effects video YouTube shot/shared from VMATT500C

The video is of the much-anticipated, well-attended annual Motorcycle Lighting Effect at the 2011 Americade. As you can tell by video, there was no disappointment from the Thu night light show.

Now you can enjoy in case you missed. Thanks to VMATT500C for shooting and sharing this lighting effects video. Much appreciation from those that missed and can now enjoy!
